The seven-year-old bay mare will carry a whopping 62 kilograms against a class field at the Wellington Racing Club’s TAB Meeting.
Remarkably, though, Smith’s hope isn’t the top weight.
George Wright’s Friendsinlowplaces is carrying 63kg for the sprint race, the third in Wellington’s seven race program for Saturday.
In-form Dubbo jockey Kody Nestor has been booked for the ride in the $20,000 race, to jump at 2.47pm, on board Dream Express, a trial winner in her last start at Towac Park on November 18 having previously been spelled for 36 weeks.
Michael Plummer is also a hope of having a runner at Wellington, with Captain Byblos an emergency in the second, the KB Concreting Wellington Maiden Plate, also over 1100m on Saturday afternoon.
