On Saturday you can taste matching foods and wines, join the party to sample Orange’s first prosecco or catch a movie at a winery.
Sunday is family markets day. You can also picnic with a cider or try antipasti plates in the vines.
Orange Mountain Wines co-owner Julie Dolle said the winery’s movie night was an annual institution combining wine tasting, a three course dinner and a movie.
Mrs Dolle said tickets ($40 per person, call 6365 2626) were still available to taste the winery’s renowned vigioner and shiraz vigioners and watch the film Pride.
People in town looking for tickets should make a call.
- Justin Byrne, Wine Festival spokesman
Orange Wine Festival spokesman Justin Byrne said the Sunday markets (9am-2pm) had been moved from Emmaville Cottage to the netball courts at Moulder Park due to wet ground.
“There is craft, clothing, there will be food, it’s much more of a family market. There will be 100 stalls, it’s a really big deal.”
He said that even sold out events may have a vacancy.
“If people are in town looking for tickets they should make a call,” he said.
