Tremain won Orange cricketer of the year in 2009 and is now one of Australia’s best fast bowlers.
Tremain has recently returned from South Africa, where Australia lost 5-0 in the ODI series. The Kinross product, had a reasonably successful debut series, playing four of the five matches and taking seven wickets at an average of 36.42.
His call-up came after an impressive showing for Australia A during a winter quadrangle series. Despite Australia’s heavy loss in the series he will be hoping to maintain his form into the Matador Cup to push his claim for upcoming Test series against South Africa, which starts in Perth early November.
The elimination final will be played at Drummoyne Oval, where the winner will face the Queensland Bulls in the final on Sunday.
