Grant set up the opening goal in the 3-0 semi-final win over Canberra Olympic on Wednesday night at Viking Park.
Sydney will now meet either Tim Cahill’s Melbourne City or Melbourne Victory in the decider of the national knock-out competition.
“It’s the first FFA Cup final in the history of the club and it’s a wonderful feat for the players and for the club,” coach Graham Arnold said.
Grant helped Sydney FC open their account. Team-mate David Carney played a short corner kick to the Central West talent, who then clipped the ball into the centre of the box for Seb Ryall to score.
