Mudgee came from a lower position to make the grand final but have shown they’ve got what it takes defeating Lithgow and the minor premiers Orange CYMS in the finals series to storm into the big dance.
But Lithgow coach Graeme Osborne, no stranger to grand final day, gives his young Workies outfit a serious chance of claiming the title.
Osborne’s team is looking for revenge after that 26-10 finals loss to the Dragons.
“They beat us on the edges in the first final. They also slowed us down in the ruck area,” Osborne said, a premiership winning coach with Lithgow’s premier league in 2012.
“We will be working hard on our defense and our groundwork at training this week."
The under-18s decider will kick-off at 11am
