The vocal and instrumental day attracted orators and musicians from near and far including Orange, Millthorpe, Bathurst, Cowra, Lidster and Armidale.
Stage manager Margaret Bolson said she was impressed by the “very good” standard of the performances.
“There was some beautiful singing talent which started from the little ones to the older children," Ms Bolson said.
“It was a joy to watch them.”
Accompanist Meriel Owen said the performers spoke volumes about young talent in the Central West.
“I think they’re great and we’re seeing a lot of promising young singers,” she said.
“There were a lot of children with a wonderful sound.”
Vocal and instrumental coordinator Margaret Williams said tomorrow’s anticipated primary school choirs section was expected to be a learning experience for students and teachers alike.
“Students will hear a range of beautiful music in the choral songs,” Ms Williams said.
“It’s lovely for children to be able to hear their peers.”
Sections included character song solo, vocal solo, open special needs solo, folk song solo, sacred song solo, vocal duet, vocal solo, popular song, Welsh song, musical comedy solo and romantic solo.
Performers also competed for the Ann McFarland Memorial Senior Pianoforte Scholarship Solo.
