Canobolas Zone Local Area Command Senior Constable Greg Treavors spoke to students about bullying and appropriate playground behaviour.
“We need to get the message out that kids aren’t alone and not to keep it inside,” Senior Constable Treavors said.
“We’ve seen in the past once it gets to the teenage years, that’s where the issues arise. It’s all about trying to prevent this behaviour.”
Orange Public School principal Brad Tom said it was an opportunity for students to learn about “safe people and safe places”.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for students to be involved with police community liaison officers” Mr Tom said.
Senior Constable Treavors said he was impressed with the level of interest from students.
“It’s nice to see some of the kids still feel police are there to help them,” he said.
“The response was really encouraging.”
