Students from Orange Public School, Calare Public School and Canobolas Public School have been practicing independently all year but took part in a combined strings workshop at Calare Public School.
Hosted by violin teacher Andrew Baker and will support from Sophia’s Strings Orange, the event gave the students a chance to learn to perform together before putting everything they had learnt to the test.
Using a variety of string instruments, mainly violin and cello, the students performed as a violin ensemble in the Calare Public School hall in front of their family and friends.
The students performed from a classical repertoire with songs adapted to meet their varying abilities from beginner to those with more technical ability.
Tuesday’s performance was the second time the schools have combined with the event first taking place last year.
