Everyone knows what’s on the outside, but few people have seen what’s on the inside of the Orange Regional Museum.

Orange City Council will throw open the doors to everyone on Sunday, July 10 from 11am to 2pm.
The grass-roofed building has captured plenty of attention locally and beyond since construction finished.
Ratepayers and residents will be able to cast their eye over the building and then enjoy a snag from a community barbecue cooked by the Orange Rotary Club to support the museum.
With 1100 square metres of floor space, the building will include the museum, a tourist information centre and a cafe. In comparison, the largest room in the Orange gallery, dedicated to Alan Sisley, is 360 square metres.
“The shape of the sloping roof has already captured visitors and resident’s imagination and I am sure they can’t wait to see what’s inside,” council’s serices policy committee chairman Ron Gander said
Entry into the museum is by gold-coin donation to the Orange Regional Museum fund.
An earlier version of this story stated the wrong date for the open day, the correct date is Sunday, July 10.
