Mrs Irwin said the generosity of the people of Orange was at the heart of the community service’s expansion, with the business now based in an office and warehouse in Glenroi Avenue.
On Wednesday the community shed will take another step forward after a local supermarket pledged fresh bread to the service to be handed out every Wednesday and Friday.
"We started out collecting donations and items and then people came on board to help us privately fund the rental on the warehouse, which we have paid up for 12 months," said Mrs Irwin.
She said the shed took a holistic approach to helping those in need.
"We work with Housing Plus when we can to provide furniture for people who are trying to escape domestic violence," she said.
The shed is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
