The whole cenotaph area is a real credit to those who designed and made it.
In my opinion, we now need to take a small step forward and fully acknowledge the many dark shadows of Australian history.
These would include the massacres of Aboriginal people in all parts of Australia, including near Bathurst. The last reported massacre was a recent as 1928, when over 100 Aborigines were killed near Alice Springs.
P.S. Like many residents, I believe that this year’s Anzac Day service in Robertson Park was the best and most moving one that I’ve attended. From the playing of the didgeridoo to the singing of New Zealand’s national anthem, the whole service was very special. Congratulations are passed on to all those who contributed to its success!
