Orange school student Atahlia Sutherland, 18, will feature as a soloist for the second year running after making a debut as a soloist at the event last year and performing in an Aboriginal dance group two years prior.
For students of Orange East Public School it marks a significant time, as this is the first time the school has participated in the event.
Thousands of students from across the state take part each year, and this year 2000 dancers will team with a 1500 strong choir, and 80-piece symphony orchestra and 50 soloists.
Its been a hectic week for students rehearsing, culminating with a performance last night to an invited audience and two public performances today to be attended by many Orange parents and families who have travelled to Sydney.
The event is hosted by the NSW Department of Education
