EMERGENCY services were required to use Jaws of Life to free the driver and his two male passengers from a twin cab utility that crashed 12km south of Parkes on the Newell Highway.

All three men are from Forbes.
The driver, aged 64, was airlifted from the scene and taken to Orange Base Hospital suffering shoulder, chest and spinal injuries.
The 71 year old back seat passenger was taken by ambulance to Parkes Airport before being airlifted to Orange Base Hospital suffering spinal injuries.
The 44 year old front seat passenger was taken by ambulance to Parkes Health Service suffering chest and shoulder injuries.
The Newell Highway was closed in both directions from 1.10pm to 2.50pm.
Emergency services including Police SES, RFS, Paramedics from Parkes and Forbes attended the accident.
It is understood the three men were travelling south towards Forbes when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a left hand bend, collided with two RMS signs and came to a stop against a barbed wire fence trapping the men inside.
Emergency services battled torrential rain and lightning during the rescue operation.
