Aria award-winning bands John Butler Trio and Birds of Tokyo have been announced as the headline acts for the festival, which will light up the Forbes Showgrounds on December 5.
Joining them is hip-hop sensation Illy, Sticky Fingers, Sheppard, Bootleg Rascal, DJ Stacie Todd as well as Twin Fires, formerly known as OXBLVD, who will return to Vanfest.
Founded by local father and son Grant and Matt Clifton, Vanfest debuted last year and with headliners Chet Faker and Matt Corby, drew 7000 people to the Forbes Showgrounds.
Grant says he has no doubt Vanfest 2015 will stack up to last year’s event.
“The line-up is fantastic and to try and go one better than last year is a great achievement,” he said.
“I think this year will be more suited to a wider variety of ages, it will have a bit of a different vibe.”
The line-up was released online to the public on Thursday night, and in less than 24 hours the page was viewed 104,000 times.
Grant said if that’s any indication of numbers, Vanfest 2015 will have no problem drawing a crowd.
“We would be very happy with 10-12,000 [people] this year,” he said.
“So Forbes needs to get ready for Vanfest 2015.”
Alongside the star-studded line-up, Vanfest will also feature all the festival trimmings.
VIP bars, food and beverage outlets, communal areas with bean bags as well as camping facilities including ‘glamping’ and tent city’ will be available for those travelling to the festival.
Early bird ticket prices, starting at $79, will be available on Tuesday, September 8 to those who pre-register at vanfest.com.au.
Tickets will officially go on sale on Wednesday, September 9.
Ticket, transport and camping packages are available and all ticket information can be found on the Vanfest website.
