AT any regular garage sale, you’d probably go home feeling pretty chuffed if you picked up a well-worn Rastafarian wig with all of the dread-locks still intact, or even an unscratched East 17 CD.

On Saturday, however, the Colour City Dragons are holding anything but a regular garage sale.
Dubbed More Than A Garage Sale, the dragon boat club will play host to a range of stalls set to sell well-working whipper snippers, hedge trimmers and a wide variety of household appliances.
Colour City Dragons president Ian Sawtell said there was plenty on offer, with the money raised set to help the club purchase crucial equipment.
“We’re in need of new life jackets,” Mr Sawtell said, adding the event has the potential to develop into an annual fundraiser.
“I think the committee can see that something like this has the potential to be a yearly thing.”
Prospective stallholders rent a space at the old Thermalair building at 98 Peisley Street while there is also a dominations bucket at the sale.
The garage sale will be held on Saturday from 8am until 1.30pm. There’s still spaces available if anyone would like to sell. For more information or to book a stall contact Ian (0428 635 155) or Lynette (0413 145 847).
