ON Wednesday afternoon a 27-year-old woman was airlifted to a Sydney hospital for treatment for spinal injuries sustained during a two-car accident on Molong Road at around 10am.
Initial police investigations suggest the woman, who was driving a Toyota Camry, ran into the back of a Holden Statesmen as it attempted to turn into Thompson Road.
Emergency services crews freed the woman from her vehicle and she was taken to Orange hospital for treatment before being airlifted to a Sydney hospital.
A young girl who was in car with the woman was unhurt.
One lane on Molong Road was closed to vehicles causing traffic delays in the area.
Police are investigating the incident and no charges have been laid.
WEDNESDAY, 11AM:
ONE lane of Molong Road has been re-opened after Wednesday morning's accident.
Both the 27-year-old woman and the child travelling in the same vehicle have been removed from the car.
WEDNESDAY, 10.30AM:
EMERGENCY services crews are working to free a 27-year-old woman involved in a two-vehicle accident on Molong Road at around 10am on Wednesday.
A child was also travelling in that vehicle.
Traffic is lined up on both sides of the accident that occurred around five kilometres outside of Orange near Ammerdown Hill.
