The club’s auditorium will be splashed with pink for the National Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser for the event, which organisers hope will raise $2000 for the charity.
Events manager Sara Swain said the idea for a fashion night event had been floating around for a while, and late last year the decision was made to combine it with Mother’s Day and a charitable cause.
She said because breast cancer had touched so many people, the foundation was chosen as the beneficiary for the event.
“One of our own staff member’s wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer last year. It’s a cause close to my heart; I’ve known a few people who have had breast cancer,” Mrs Swain said.
Mrs Swain said the fashion parade will feature clothes from K’s Collection Clothing and Jewellery and Postie Fashions, and 12 market stalls will sell “everything for mums”, including clothing, jewellery, candles and beauty products.
Orange singer-songwriter James Caulfield will be the night’s master of ceremonies and provide music entertainment.
Tickets cost $15, which can be purchased from the club, and include a glass of wine on entry and canapes.
