According to police facts, officers found methamphetamines, cannabis, chainsaws and a motorbike suspected of being stolen at Michael’s Bletchington Street home after they executed a search warrant.
Officers also claim they found 800 small resealable plastic bags they surmised were to be used to sell drugs.
“[Michael] made admissions to selling cannabis in 2014, but stated he ceased doing it,” police facts said.
Officers found a large amount of white crystal in a rock salt container in the home and Michael said initially he had been selling it.
“I have sold it to two people so far as I’m sick of people coming around to buy [ice],” he said.
But when questioned further, he retracted his statement.
He appeared by audio visual link in Orange Local Court from prison for his solicitor Andrew Rolfe to argue his case for bail.
Michael is facing 13 offences ranging from resisting arrest to possession of house breaking implements, possession of drugs and assault.
Mr Rolfe said if bail was granted his client could report to police daily and “attend upon probation and parole”.
“He is also in a position to pay the court ... a significant sum of money to ensure his future attendance at court,” Mr Rolfe said.
“Also Your Honour he will continue to attempt to gain entry into a residential rehabilitation facility.”
Police prosecutor Sergeant Beau Riley argued the risk that Michael could re-offend was great, and that risk could not be mitigated with bail conditions.
Mr Lucas refused the 37-year-old bail to reappear for a hearing next week.
“He has a pattern of non-compliance with court orders,” he said.
