And yet, this happens throughout the year, much to the annoyance and distress of those who live near the oval.
From a daily walker's perspective, this problem should be able to be prevented by completing the low, metal fence adjacent to the Glenroi Community Centre in Garema Road.
A locked gate would need to be included in that short section of fence to allow council and contract mower vehicles access to that section of the oval.
Over to Orange City Council and Orange Police.
