She was trapped inside the car for about half an hour as paramedics and firefighters worked to stabilise her and the vehicle.
The woman’s vehicle veered off the road, narrowly missed the safety rail and careered through two farm fences, down a ditch for about 100 metres before coming to rest on its side.
A volunteer ambulance community crusader from Molong was first on the scene and helped calm and stabilise the woman before paramedics could arrive.
The woman suffered chest injuries.
Paramedics from Molong and Orange attended as well as the ambulance air retrieval unit but it arrived by road because the crash was only 15 kilometres out of Orange.
It was quicker for the woman to be taken to Orange hospital by road.
The Orange Fire and Rescue crew and the Rural Fire Service also attended.
Canobolas Local Area Command acting Inspector Glenn Griffith said police were investigating the cause of the crash.
