RFS fire mitigation officer Geoff Selwood said the fire started at around 3pm and took crews around an hour to extinguish using 14 tankers, an aircraft and a grader.
A Support 6 vehicle, which holds 9000 litres of water, was also used to extinguish the blaze.
Mr Selwood said the fire, which was heading towards Bell River, skipped past a house on the property because its yard was well watered and maintained.
By 4pm fire crews were mopping up the fire and extinguish embers.
"Everything went well considering the fire was in spare woody grasslands and there was a wind blowing," Mr Selwood said.
