Mr Katter was in the area to discuss manufacturing and agriculture and to encourage people to drop their allegiances to the major parties.
He said with issues with export prices and the closure of manufacturing plants including the Orange Electrolux factory there was a need for change.
“If you keep voting for the current party you won’t get there,” Mr Katter said.
The Orange branch of the Katter Party is still in its infancy with 10 members and hopeful more people would come on board once they knew what he stood for.
“This is a manufacturing and ag town, manufacturing will be almost completely destroyed over the next four years, you cannot make an electric motor in this country.”
“You tell me, what industry is going well in Australia.”
