POLICE are searching for a man reported missing from the Bloomfield Psychiatric Facility after he failed to return from day release on Friday.

Robert Cooper, 42, was last seen leaving the facility at about 10am yesterday and police from Canobolas Local Area Command were contacted when he failed to return by 5pm.
He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 178cm tall, with a medium build, black hair with a shaved head, brown eyes and a trimmed beard.
At the time he left the facility, he was wearing a khaki hooded jumper, black jeans and joggers.
Cooper was assessed after being charged and committed to the facility under a Section 33 order under the Mental Health Act.
Police believe Cooper is dangerous and he may be armed. Police urge the public not to approach this person.
He is known to have links to Redfern, Narromine, Gilgandra and Dubbo.
