Mr Seiler says the renewable energy debate has been hijacked by both Labor and the Coalition.
“I just want to encourage people to find out more about the facts. I am passionate about getting the message out there about the impact of climate change, but the existing policy is detrimental to the whole nation,” he said.
Mr Seiler acknowledges the sceptics who don’t believe in global warming, but wants to get the message across that climate change is a reality.
“It is so easy for people to say it is drier now than it has been before because Australia is a cyclical climate,” he said.
“It really is time for people to stand up and show their concerns.
“And we have the ability to be at the front of a new industrial revolution using new technology in relation to climate change.”
Mr Seiler said Sunday’s Global Day of Climate Action gave people a voice.
“It is an opportunity for people to have their say outside the forum of an election environment,” he said.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Global Day of Climate Action, which begins at 1pm.
Meet inside the gate at the Kite Street entrance to Cook Park.
