ORANGE'S Daniel Mortimer will play his 100th NRL game on Sunday when he runs out with the Gold Coast Titans.

The Titans will go up against the Dragons with both teams needing to win with only three rounds remaining before the finals.

The 100th game is a significant milestone for Mortimer after his NRL career started in 2009.

After playing for Parramatta's NYC team in 2008 and 2009, he was called up to the Eels' top side in 2009 for the round 12 match against Cronulla.

Mortimer held his place in the team and went on to play in the 2009 NRL grand final where the Eels lost to the Melbourne Storm.

Mortimer played 48 NRL games for the Eels before joining the Sydney Roosters in 2012.

However, he spent much of the back end of the 2012 season playing with the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup, and captained the team to the 2012 premiership.

Mortimer played 43 NRL games with the Sydney Roosters, including winning the 2013 grand final over Manly.

The half-back remained with the Roosters in 2014 but was used as a utility player and often started on the bench.

In June this year Mortimer left the Roosters and signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Titans where he has been the starting half-back.

Sunday's game will be the 25-year-old's ninth with the Titans.
