The tournament will feature four divisions for boys and girls.
There will be under 12s, 14s and 16s, plus an open age group.
Orange Basketball Association has teamed up with Sport and Recreation, PCYC, Orange City Council and OCTEC Youth Services, and encourages any team to sign up for free.
“Basketball is a great game to play for everyone in the family and this three-on-three format is a fantastic introduction to the game,” OBA president Lee Spirit Jones said.
Sport and Recreation Aboriginal sports development officer Jason French, who will run the tournament, hopes newcomers will give the sport a try.
“This is a great opportunity for people with and without experience to play the sport in a fun, friendly environment, at no cost,” Mr French said.
The tournament will be held at Orange PCYC this Friday, tipping off at 2.30pm and finishing at 9pm.
