POLICE are appealing for information following a stabbing in West Bathurst on Saturday night.

About 9pm a 52-year-old man returned to his home on Daly Street after spending the evening out with friends.
The man heard a knock at his door around 9.30pm, before two men forced entry into the premises.
One of the men armed himself with a knife and stabbed the man, before the pair fled the location.
The injured man was treated for a stab wound at Bathurst Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers attached to Chifley Local Area Command were informed of the incident and launched an investigation.
A crime scene was established at the home and examined by forensic specialists.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist in the investigation.
The men are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 25 years of age, with short dark hair.
