CWA members invited the community to share in a feast of savoury pancakes and a huge range of desserts for Shrove Tuesday.
People could choose from meatballs, chicken and vegetables to top their pancakes.
Branch president Elizabeth Lynch said while the turn-out was down on last year they had a few new faces at the annual luncheon.
“It’s great this year because we’ve got a few new faces and they’ve been so enthusiastic with helping,” she said.
“It’s all about the feast before the famine ... the great thing is the dessert table.”
While in previous years, the womenchose to serve sweet pancakes, this year they decided to offer a variety of desserts, including pavlova, slices, cheesecake, trifle and cakes served up with whipped cream.
The CWA’s Orange Branch always welcome new members to their group.
To find out more, come along to their meetings at 5pm for 5.30pm in the CWA Hall at Robertson Park on the first Thursday of the month, or call Elizabeth Lynch on 6364 3027 or 0434 870 202.
