Due to wet weather that work will extend into this coming week.
Crews will begin road shoulder grading on Cadia Road this week in preparation for future road rehabilitation work between Berrilee Road and Forest Road.
Work is also continuing on schedule for the pavement upgrade on the Western end of the Northern Distributor Road between Molong road and Forbes Road.
The first stage of sealing has been completed. Further sealing will be undertaken this week, weather permitting.
COUNCIL began its annual resealing programme last week with approximately 3.9km of resurfacing achieved in neighbourhood residential streets before the wet weather intervened.
Roads sealed last week include: Northstoke Way, Hereford Place, Angus Place, McCarron Place, Burrendong Way, Dale Street, Lane Street, Cianfranco Place, Glendale Crescent, Saran Place, Pine Ridge Drive, Westhaven Place,, Amana Place, Mirral Way, Tumbeelluwa Place, Currong Crescent, Amber Street, Beech Crescent,, Kalkadoon Place and Karimi Way.
Weather permitting further resealing work will be undertaken this week on local residential streets and residents will be advised in advance.
This re-sealing work is about preserving otherwise sound road pavements from premature deterioration and eventual costly reconstruction.
POTHOLE patching activities were carried out on other sections of the Northern Bypass Road as well as the parking lanes in McLachlan Street and Clinton Streets.
Crews responded to various customer requests throughout the city and undertook programmed maintenance repairing drainage structures in Burrendong Way and Sale Street.
Kerb and gutter repairs and maintenance was undertaken in Cassey Crescent (off Burrendong Way) and Clinton Street.
