The biggest ONA club with 46 registered teams, CYMS is still on the hunt for helping hands on its 2014 committee.
With the club’s first registration day this afternoon at the PCYC from 3.30pm, president Bernadette Bird was hopeful a few eager helpers would also put their names forward.
“We definitely need some people to get involved,” she said. “Being the biggest club and having probably the smallest committee, it’s tough. We need people to get involved.
“Often people are afraid to come forward because they think they’re going to get lumped with a heap of stuff they can’t manage, don’t expect that.
“Come along, you don’t have to be involved in the committee, you can just help.”
The club runs sides from the kindergarten age through to opens in the ONA and is encouraging all players interested in playing this year to sign on this afternoon.
CYMS is also hosting another sign-on day next Monday, February 24, also from 3.30pm to 6pm at the PCYC.
Bird said the green and gold club had gone from strength to strength in recent years.
“We’re the biggest club in Orange,” Bird enthused. “There’s never a time slot when there’s not a CYMS side on the court and sometimes CYMS v CYMS.”
Trials dates for the club’s selected sides will be on the CYMS website. The new CYMS netball website is cymsnc.nsw.netball.com.au.
