Police say driver fatigue has been identified as the cause of the crash.
The male driver and one of two children who were passengers in the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Orange hospital for treatment.
The male was discharged from hospital later on Saturday, however a four-year-old child remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Police had to close off Peisley Street and divert northbound traffic to the overhead bridge on the corner of Peisley Street and Franklin Road during the morning with southbound traffic diverted around Wade Park.
The vehicle, which was extensively damaged after striking the power pole near the Peisley Street entrance to the medical centre, was towed from the scene.
Essential Energy workers were called to the scene to shore up the power pole with a crane and other equipment, which remained in place overnight until teams could start work again yesterday morning.
Essential Energy regional manager Phillip Green told the Central Western Daily 12 homes in the Franklin Road, Holly Place and Lords Place area were affected by a temporary supply interruption yesterday while the network was repaired.
This involved road closures in the area again yesterday until the work was finished at around 2pm.
“Essential Energy crews are working as quickly and as safely as possible to complete the work,” Mr Green said yesterday.
