WorkCover says it will not release any further details of the investigation as it is ongoing.
Mr Flowers, whose arm was severed in the accident when the boom collapsed on him two weeks ago, remains in a critical but stable condition in Westmead Hospital with his family by his side.
Mr Flowers also sustained other serious injuries in the accident, which occurred while concrete was being laid on a residential property on the corner of Mariposa Way and Gala Crescent in a new development in west Orange.
WorkCover spokesman Steve Norris said the concrete boom truck involved in the accident was now being inspected by technical experts.
The accident happened just after 7.30am on October 30 with Mr Flowers trapped under building rubble at the rear of the building site before being freed and treated by emergency service workers.
The concrete truck was parked at the front of the building site with the boom stretching across the house slab to the rear of the property when the accident occurred.
A trivia night to support Mr Flowers and his family which was previously planned for later this month, has been cancelled.
