Council is defending the closure of toilet facilities at Jack Brabham Park near Orange hospital, saying it is a way of containing costs, with keys allocated to sporting clubs.
However president of Orange CYMS Cricket Club Peter Snowden said he is standing by his comments about Jack Brabham Park.
“It is a facility which needs to be open all day not only for sportspeople, but for the members of the public using a busy road on the way to the hospital and the mine.”
However Mr Snowden apologised to council for commenting that the facilities at Riawena Oval were filthy, when they are in fact managed by the Orange and District Cricket Association (ODCA).
