Racing Orange committee member Daniel Brincat believes there’s plenty of benefits for all Orange workers.
“There will be 15 trade stalls with different suppliers showing off the latest in equipment, technology and new products,” he said.
“It’s a great way to not only see what’s out there, but also to gain important CPD (continuing professional development) points that all tradesmen need to renew their licence.
“Plus there’s also the side benefit of watching a great day’s racing.”
Race day sponsors Kent’s Hardware and Tilston’s BEC are eager to take part in what they believe is a great publicity exercise.
“I hope all customers and patrons have a great day. It’s a great chance to have a relaxed drink on us,” Tilston’s Paul Kingham said.
On course, Racing Orange chairman Ellie Brown thinks Friday’s meet has the potential to be one of the best days since they became a single entity last year.
“It’s going to be a huge day, we’re really excited to get two world class jockeys like Hugh Bowman and Blake Shinn to come to Orange,” she said.
“Hugh is from the country and he was happy to help us out after his appearance was delayed last year because of rain.”
Mrs Brown said nominations were exceptional, the track was in great condition and everything pointed to a bumper day.
“We’re expecting a real big crowd, we hope that the tradies get behind us,” she said.
