Three people who represent Orange teams but come from other cities and towns were given awards at the presentation at Orange’s Cook Park on Tuesday.
Bathurst Keryn Delaney was presented with an award for his achievements in tenpin bowling.
Delaney is not only part of Orange’s State League tenpin bowling side but captains it.
He led the team to the 2008-09 State League title, Orange’s first victory in the competition.
Another Bathurst resident who was given an award for her achievements for Orange was Mel Waterford.
The wife of NSW Country captain and Bathurst Bulldogs senior player Matt Waterford is part of the Orange Emus Chicks rugby side who last year was selected in the Wallaroos training squad.
Joining her was Alana Thomas who hails from Forbes but has been a member of the Emus Chicks side for many years.
Thomas was also named in the Wallaroos training squad in 2009 but has previously played for the national women’s team at a Rugby World Cup.
Delaney, Waterford and Thomas are all expected to again represent Orange teams in 2010.
