CRICKET identities Darrell Hair and Stephen Bernard will be special guests at the Orange City Cricket Club's 40th anniversary reunion on Saturday night.
Hair and Bernard are two of a large number of past cricketers who will return to Orange for the celebrations.
The duo is likely to have plenty of stories to tell with Bernard fresh from the World Cup in the West Indies and Hair still locked in battle with the ICC over the ball tampering incident.
Bernard and Hair were both original members of the club in it's formation in 1967 and a total of 21 members of the 1967 teams will be in attendance.
These include former Sheffield Shield player Stuart Webster from Dubbo and Garth Bolot and Garry Asgill from the Gold Coast.
Joining them are Denis Hair and Des Chapman from Canberra, John Rodis from Dubbo, Ross Sadler from Cowra, and many well known local identities. Former club president Ian Good will fly in from Brisbane and other Queensland visitors will be Wayne Corby, Allan Sharpe and Glenn Hooper.
Highly respected former captain and Orange District Cricket Association secretary Keith Crossley will travel from Albury and Bob O'Donnell will travel from the same area at Yarrawonga for the occasion.
As well as being a re-union of past members, the club will hold its presentation night so past members will have an opportunity to meet the players of this season.
High on the list will be the Bernard Family Shield for cricketer of the year and the Crossley Trophy for club member of the year.
This year it is even more prestigious as it is being presented by Stephen Bernard and Keith Crossley.
Almost 200 people will attend the function at Orange City Bowling Club.
