With a cast of 40, the Orange Theatre Company production features a wealth of local talent including Andrew Egea as Danny, Olivia Rogers as Sandy, Nick Tucknott as Kenickie and Kerryn Daniel as Rizzo.
Rod Jones, Tim Ronan and Brian Yarrington feature as the 'Burger Palace Boys', while Amy Orringe, Melissa Fardell and Kristy Wilson will play the ‘Pink Ladies'.
Director Janice Harris said that with 80 per cent of tickets sold, the response to the show has been incredible.
"It seems that people just can not get enough of Grease," she said.
The Orange Theatre Company received the rights to stage the show after it was released from the professional circuit.
"OTC had to bid against several thousand theatre companies in Australia and New Zealand and were one of only a handful given the rights to stage the show.
"Orange Theatre Company continues to raise the bar and there is certainly a heightened expectation which comes with Grease, which in many ways makes our job more difficult."
Set designer Tim Hawkins said audiences would not be disappointed.
"It is big," he said.
"The stage is a modern, technologically-advanced design, incorporating automation in set movement and laser projections."
Grease will run until May 29 and tickets are available from Ticketek on 6393-8111
