The licensed premises application is one of the first indications the business community is shifting their attention to development in the south of Orange. An application to sell takeaway liquor at the outlet was lodged with the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority by D’Aquino Bros. Pty Ltd on March 19.
The proposed site is at 48 Peisley Street on the eastern side of the road between Franklin and Gardiner roads.
Homeowners and other businesses within a 100 metre radius of the proposed site have been sent a copy of the document inviting submissions on the application within 30 days.
Proposed trading hours are 9.30am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 8pm Sundays.
The existing outlet and warehouse on the corner of Bathurst Road and Cox Avenue will remain open.
D’Aquino’s declined to comment on the application yesterday.
