THE Orange and District Pistol Club will be staging its 44th annual Central Western Championships this weekend.
Friday night will see a detail of air pistol, with Saturday and Sunday being tight.
It will feature six matches to be run to time – .38 centre fire, .22 ladies match, .22 rapid fire, .22 standard pistol – all at 25 metres – along with the .22 free pistol at 50 metres and the indoor air at 10 metres.
Members are asked to be at the Icely Rd- Stagecoach Rd range by at least 7.30 to help prepare for the start of shooting.

The clubhouse canteen will be serving light meals and drinks.
Visitors are welcome to come and watch this entertaining sport, which caters for all ages.
This includes men and women, and juniors from the age of 12, who use club pistols until the age of 18, or if their parents are a member, the family pistol.
Top Forbes shooter Philip Adams will be taking on all matches and is a great drawcard to watch, along with Bob Dowling, of Dubbo.
Top shooters from Orange will be Dean Brus, Max Wicks and David Oates.
The will be joined by new members Lara Cowling, Michael Jadezak and junior shooter Nicolas Jadezak who are all in form.
