The school is preparing a development application to be approved by Orange City Council, to allow divisions within the hall, to create a school environment.
Originally Orange builder Mick Fabar had intended to erect demountable classrooms on the site for the new school off Leeds Parade, however the school has opted for the Memorial Hall for the school for Term 1, 2007.
"We have to resolve some development application issues for the site (off Leeds Parade adjacent to the university), and then we will move towards starting construction," Mr Fabar said.
Principal of the school, Mrs Ann Brown, said interviews had been completed for teaching staff at the school, with successful applicants to be announced late next week.
Enrolment information and school uniforms can be purchased from the Memorial Hall during office hours.
