The graphic novel is about friendship and belonging, starring the world's most adorable dog.
Author Remy Lai writes and draws for children and she is also the author and illustrator of the critically acclaimed Pie in the Sky, Fly on the Wall.
She was born in Indonesia, grew up in Singapore and currently lives in Brisbane, where she can often be found exploring the bush with her two dogs-Poop Roller and Bossy Boots. She has a degree in fine arts. Sometimes, she eats ice cream for breakfast.
On Monday, January 10 children aged six years and older can meet the author online between 11am and 1pm for Remy Lai + Pet Portraits.
The children can meet Ms Lai via video link where they can learn about how she writes her books, where she gets ideas and how she tells stories visually with illustrations and graphics.
Following the video link on the big screen at Orange City Library Cecilie Knowles from Orange Regional Gallery will present a Pet Portrait Workshop.
She will teach participants tricks and tips to make their pet drawings look purrrrfect.
Children should bring a photo of their pet to join in, or create an imaginary pet on the day.

Holiday LEGO Club
A Holiday LEGO Club will also be held at the library from 2 to 3.30pm on Monday, January 10 and from 2 to 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 18.
The LEGO club is also for children aged six years and older and there is a lot of LEGO and new building ideas.
Participants can build from one of the LEGO books, or choose a challenge card to get started.
Once your creation is complete, it can feature in a stop-motion animation.
Tech Toys
Children aged 10 years and older can explore the world of technology, robotics, coding and fun at Tech Toys in the Library.
The activity will take place between 10am and noon on Tuesday, January 11.
As part of the activity, children can join the Minecraft LAN and work together to create and journey through digital landscapes.
They can also try out a large selection of programmable toys - Spheros, Code Bugs, MaKey MaKeys and more.
Steam Kitchen
Children aged eight years and older an stir up some science in the kitchen on Wednesday, January 12 and Monday, January 17.
There will be squidgey, stretchy, fluffy and cool science experiments for participants to try, with delicious results.
Toonworld Graphic Novel Workshop
Children aged eight years and older can create their own graphics and discover the magic of visual storytelling.
Animation and cartooning legends, Toonworld, are coming to Orange for a one-day special drawing event, in a Toonworld Graphic Novel Workshop.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 13 from 10 to 11.30am.
Inspired by One Library, One Book - Kids featuring Pawcasso, the library is offering children this opportunity to tell one of their stories using images and words in a graphic novel style.
Sew Much Fun
The holidays can't last forever, but participants can kit themselves out for the new school year with a unique, hand-made statement piece in the Sew Much Fun workshop.
Learn the basics of hand and machine sewing and create a pencil case and a coin purse with an embroidered patch.
Get creative with colour, fabric and embellishment choice, and then start off school supply inventory with some goodies that the library will provide.
This activity is designed for children aged 10 and over. It will take place on Wednesday, January 19 from 2 to 4pm.
Cardboard Challenge - Armour
Calling all knights, elven warriors and jedis, visit the library and suit up for the next adventure in the cardboard armour challenge.
Participants will be using cardboard, cutting tools and hot glue to make unique pieces of armour that they can take home.
This activity is designed for children aged eight years and up.
Due to the tools involved in this activity, parents and guardians should make a considered decision about their child's ability to participate safely.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, January 20 from 2 to 4pm.
One Library One Book - Kids and Summer Reading Club Wrap Party
Celebrate a Summer of reading at the Orange City Library Wrap Party on Friday, January 21 from 1pm.
Children aged six years and up who have done any of the following this summer: read a good book, listened to an audiobook, participated in One Library, One Book - KIDS, done some investigating and found out about something, played with a pet, looked up at a tree or splashed in some water are invited to join in the party.
There will be popcorn, a quiz, and lots of fun waiting at the library.
