With no other player scoring more than 15 runs, the load fell on Mulhall to guide the innings and that he did. CYMS put on 167 as Mulhall finished retired not out on 97. Troy Pearson picked up three wickets for Gladstone, but was expensive in doing so, going for 37 off seven.
In reply, Ben Elwood (39 not out) put up a fight but was no match for Chris Novak (5-24) and Jeron Sijo (3-23) who helped bowl Gladstone out for 143.
Cavaliers were more convincing winners against Centrals. Batting first, Cavs put on 7-219 from their 45 overs, with Ethan Urquhart top scoring with 62. Kaiden Cole finished with figures of 3-48 off nine for Centrals.
In reply, Centrals could manage just 114.
Orange City continued its good run of form, taking down Spring Hill by five wickets.
Mitch Harvey's 82 was the lone bright spot for Spring Hill who were bowled out for 143. Tom Markey (4-18) and Glen Robinson (3-21) were the best of the City bowlers.
Adam Cowden top scored with 30 for City, but it was a team effort to guide them home with four overs remaining.
The final game saw the two Kinross sides do battle. It was the first XI who came out on top by 23 runs. The first XI's 172 was too much to chase, as the second XI finished 7-149 in reply.
CYMS continued its good day in the lower grades when their third grade outfit took on Cavaliers at Jack Brabham.
Cavs batted first and were bowled out for 103 off just 28 overs. Shehan Fernando (5-21 off six) and Luke Van Der Westhuis (3-13 off seven) were the best of the green and gold bowlers.
In reply, CYMS chased down the target with relative ease.
Jonathan Savill top scored with 42 as CYMS finished six wicket winners at 4-107 off 31.1 overs.
There were no Centenary Cup games this weekend.
