NSW COVID-19 cases have crashed through the 2000 mark, hitting 2213 in Friday's update.
There was also one death recorded in the 24 hour period to 8pm Thursday.

There are currently 215 people in hospital with the coronavirus across NSW, including 24 people requiring intensive care.
The case numbers were a jump of almost 500 from the previous day, despite testing numbers having decreased. There were 127,583 tests taken in the most recent reporting period, down from 143,938 tests the day before.

Vaccination rates of the 16 plus population remained the same as the previous update, with 93.3 per cent of the population fully vaccinated and 94.8 per cent having received at least one dose of a vaccine.
81.4% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - 77.9% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
