Looking back on the opening day of this round's action, here's five big talking points from the opening day of round six.
1) KENNEWELL'S GOT PLENTY OF GRIT
MAJOR props has to go to both Darryl Kennewell and Kurt Gander for allowing Centrals to even remain in a competitive spot in their game against City Colts.
Their partnership was a textbook case of both batsmen playing to their strengths and constantly remaining aware of the game situation, no doubt immensely frustrating a Colts side who might have been thinking about claiming first innings points before stumps.
Kennewell finished with 73 off more than a run a ball while Gander at a strike rate of just over 25.
Major highlights for Centrals have been difficult to come by ever since the BOIDC re-formed but this deserves to be considered one of them, because there's every chance an early dismissal to one of these batsmen would have left them with a two-figure total.
2) HOW DEEP DO CYMS GO?
TAKE a look at that surprising scorecard from the CYMS vs Rugby Union game and you'll see two Orange names that provided big highlights: Tom Wilson and Ben Bartlett.
It's always exciting for a club when they're able to bring players out of second grade and they step up to the plate, which Wilson and Bartlett did in a big way.
They were the best bowler and batter respectively in Saturday's game (5-18 and 46), helping CYMS already claim first innings points against the previously unbeaten Rugby.
After three straight losses for CYMS the burning questions are whether they can carry this sort of form into the back half of the season and whether the club's second graders can continue to step up the occasion when needed.
3) CAVALIERS CAN EXTEND THE LEAD
WITH Rugby Union in serious strife against CYMS it's the big chance for Cavaliers to gain a valuable break at the top of the ladder going into the Christmas break.
Cavaliers had a one point break over Rugby going into this round, with the pair being the only unbeaten sides left in the competition.
That's likely set to change this Saturday as Cavaliers resume on 8-311.
Even a draw (while no doubt unsatisfying for Cavs) would still give them extra breathing space.
4) BULLS BOWLING UNDER THE MICROSCOPE
HOW long will it take for Centennials to get ORC opener Wayne Sellers out when the Tigers resume their chase of 150 at 3-67?
This could be a game, and more specifically a dismissal, that both clubs look back on at the end of the regular season as a key point in their respective campaigns.
Sellers didn't take long to get to 41 and time will tell whether he's able to get that momentum back quickly when the game resumes this Saturday.
Kurt Toole (3-39) has all three dismissals so far. Does he have a five wicket haul incoming, to go along with his 98 run effort from earlier in the season? This game is definitely the one to watch.
5) CHANGE IN UNIFORM IS EXCITING
THERE'S always something nice about seeing the cricket whites come out for the first time in a season.
When it comes to the BOIDC competition that means it's time for the real tests to begin.
We love a splash of colour throughout the one-day contests but when the two-day games roll up it's time to get the whites on and showcase your mental fortitude in the longer form of the game.
This is where the big points are up for grabs. Who will make the most of it?
