No new venues of concern in Orange were listed, though Western NSW Local Health District reported recent sewerage testing had returned positive traces of the virus in Blayney and Grenfell, where there are currently no known cases on record.
The three cases in Orange were included in the eight cases recorded across the Western Region in the same reporting period, with two cases in the Coonabarabran area, one case in Lightning Ridge, and two more cases in Bathurst.
Drive-through testing for Orange will remain available at the Orange Showground and Wade Park, 8am to 4pm.
WNSWLHD strongly urge those with symptoms to get tested.
Statewide, NSW has recorded 261 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday.
Of the state's population aged 16 years and over, NSW is now 92.2 per cent fully vaccinated, with 94.5 per cent having had their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
Those aged between 12 and 15 years are 76 per cent fully vaccinated, while 81.1 per cent have had their first vaccine dose.
There are 185 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 27 in ICU.

On Thursday, 73,027 tests were conducted which was down on the previous day's total of 74,926.
Thursday it was announced vaccinated hospitality workers will not have to wear masks on the job from December 15 and QR check-ins will vanish at many businesses.
Masks will be required only on public transport and planes, at airports, and for indoors front-of-house hospitality staff who are not fully vaccinated.
