A WNSWLHD spokesman said the majority of cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Orange over recent days have either been household contacts of a previously-identified case, or had known links to previous case.
"Vaccination rates in Orange are strong and we know how effective vaccines are in stopping people from getting very sick, but also reducing the chances of contracting and transmitting COVID-19," he said.
"COVID-19 is still creeping around our communities, and as restrictions continue to ease and movement increases the chance of COVID-19 spreading does too.
"Everyone, as individuals, has a responsibility to help stop that spread of COVID-19 and there's a number of easy ways people can help protect themselves, their loved ones and their community."
The spokesman said the most important is getting vaccinated, getting tested regularly, make sure to check in using QR codes wherever you go and continue to follow guidance and advice from NSW Health.
"If you or your children feel unwell, don't go to work or school. Go and get tested and isolate until you get a negative result. And be aware of how you, or your kids, are interacting with other people," he said.
