The Lachlan River has peaked near 10.53 metres at Forbes' Iron Bridge at around 9am on Thursday morning, according to a bulletin issued by SES at 10:40am on Thursday, November 18.

That mark is just below the September 2016 flood level.
Flooding is occurring around Lake Forbes with several roads closed due to water over them.
Among the roads closed in Forbes are: Johnny Woods Crossing, Gordon Duff Drive, Sir Francis Forbes Drive, Landrace Street, Lower Edward Street and Lower Ferry Street are closed to all traffic, with Bundaburrah Crossing closed to all light vehicles
Major flooding is occurring at Cottons Weir on Thursday and major flooding is expected at Jemalong on Friday.
The Lachlan River at Nanami peaked on Monday, November 15 at a level 0.6 metres higher than the September 2016 flood.
Major flooding is still continuing at Nanami.
Peak flood predictions will be made for locations downstream of Cottons Weir once upstream peaks have been observed.
