The grant which was awarded under the Local Sport Grant Program will go towards improving the club's pathways for golf carts, Mr Donato said.
"They were obviously very happy and it will make a big difference to improving the facilities and amenities at the golf course," he added.
"It's a beautiful golf course and is iconic in Orange. They host a number of major tournaments throughout the year which brings in significant tourism to the area."
Duntryleague was one of a number of the city's sporting clubs to receive a portion of the NSW Government's Local Sport Grant Program which aims to increase "regular and on-going participation opportunities across the state".
According to Mr Donato, Orange was allocated $50,000 in total under the scheme - as were NSW's other 92 electorates.
