Both have been members of the gym for sometime; Ms Romanow since 2009, Ms Draper since 2012.
The pair met at the gym when Ms Romanow was a coach and Ms Draper was a member and struck up a friendship over their similar interests in health and wellbeing.
Prior to becoming co-business owners, both women had successful stories as Curves members after it aided them in their weight loss journeys, while also - and more importantly - helping them establish healthy lifestyles.
When Curves went up for sale, the friends didn't want to see the women of Orange lose such a vital gym for health, fitness and socialising, so they went into business together.
One year for Spuddz
Takeaway food outlet Spuddz has celebrated its one year anniversary - an achievement under any circumstances, but considering it was through the challenging months of lockdown, it's particularly monumental.
The business is run by Rob Pells and his wife Ny with help from two of their four children.
"[It was] challenging, I guess, but everybody was pretty good.... A lot of people came in to support us purely because it's a local, family business. So it was good community support," he said.
"[Lockdown] didn't affect us as badly as it did a lot of other people. We were still able to trade... and people made a point of coming in to get food from us, so that was really good."
To thank Spuddz's many customers who had stuck by them over the past year, the store ran a two-for-one deal on Sunday - and completely sold out of spuds.
New digs for day-care
Business continues to boom for Diesel and Blue, with the dog day-care provider and groomers needing to move into a bigger location to meet customer demand - just two years on from when the business was started.
The move to 5 Edward Street has meant they can take on even more dogs, owner Danielle Hass said.
"Our grooming is just growing rapidly as well, so we're about to go from three days a week to four days a week... Everything is growing very rapidly and we're sort of chasing our tail a bit trying to keep up."
