If you drive past Andrew Gee MP's office in your daily routine, you may have noticed the big red sign last week.

It read "GEE... VOTE YES FOR ZALI'S CLIMATE BILL"!
Now, some of you readers may in fact be wondering who Zali is.
We were referring to Zali Steggall OAM MP for Warringah, who was tabling Climate Change Bills to parliament on October 18.
Among other things, she is asking for a 60 per cent emissions reduction, by 2030, on 2005 levels.
Additionally, the Nationals held a meeting last Sunday to discuss their position on climate change targets and Australians were hoping there would be good news.
Unfortunately, it seems that we have more work to do in lobbying our local federal member, Andrew Gee MP, for real action on climate change.
A network of groups across the Calare Electorate have banded together to ensure our member Andrew Gee gets a strong message that we need more action on climate change.
Aside from the protest last week, protesters are asking that you email or write to Andrew Gee to let him know that we need higher ambitions for climate change action and that we need a plan to transition our economy to a low carbon economy.
Of course, what I actually mean is that we need a plan to save the environment, however, you have to speak in "economic" terms to win an argument in politics it seems!
Additionally, due to the difficulty of holding a mass protest at the current time, we are taking to the online platform to start conversations and get our messages across.
One way of providing support is with the use of hashtags on social media.
The reason for the hashtags is to help identify the number of people that are supporting this cause.
Using #AndrewGee or @AndrewGee will identify this to Andrew Gee himself.
So, in place of an in-person protest, the hashtag plays an important role.
It would be great if you could show your support to this campaign by recording a song, painting a poster, taking a photo, baking a cake with a message and anything else you can think of, then posting these to your social media platforms.
Don't forget to add the hash tags:
#calareclimateaction
#andrewgee
#geeitstimetoact
#geeweneedhigherambitions
#climatechange
#calareclimateaction will continue to campaign in the lead up to COP26.
